Rok Benkovic - biography: Ski Jumping; photo wallpapers: Name, Benkovic Rok; Nation Slovenia; FIS Code 2998 Ski club SSK Menges; [br]Rok Benkovič, born on March 20th 1986 in Ljubljana, Slovenia (then Yugoslavia) is a Slovenian ski jumper. Benkovič started with his sport career relatively old as eleven-year-old, in 1997. He won the silver medal on the Junior World Championship in Solleftea, Sweden on February 6th 2003. His biggest success came with the 2005 Nordic World Ski Championships in Oberstdorf, where he became world champion on normal hill HS 100 on February 19th 2005, second gold medal for Slovenia after Petek's victory in Predazzo in 1991. The very next day, together with Primoz Peterka, Jure Bogataj and Jernej Damjan, he won the bronze medal in a team competition for Slovenia. He lives in Kamnik and is member of Mengeš ski club. [br]
