Triglav Wallpapers

Triglav Slovenia: Mount Triglav is the highest peak in Slovenia, in the former Yugoslavia and of the Julian Alps. Its name, "Three-headed", describes its shape as seen from the Bohinj valley. This shape can also be seen in the Slovenian coat of arms and in the flag of Slovenia. At the top of the mountain is mounted Aljažev stolp (the Aljaž tower) which is a landmark of Slovenian territory and an important symbol of Slovenia. The opening of Aljažev stolp (the Aljaž tower) was on August 7, 1895. Jakob Aljaž, a priest from Dovje, designed the tower and had it erected as well. The cylindrical metal tower with a flag on the top was made by A. Belec from St. Vid.
