Claudia Jordan - biography; photo wallpapers; Megawallpapers.org: Claudia Jordan was born and raised in Providence, Rhode Island, where she was a sports standout before being swept up into the world of fashion pageants. At East Providence High School she was selected for the All State Track and Field team and set a record in the long jump during the Ocean States Field Meet that still stands. She participated in three Junior Olympics and finished third in the long jump at the East Coast Invitational. After high school, Claudia entered Baldwin Wallace College, near Cleveland, Ohio, intent on becoming a biologist. She later changed her major to broadcasting and journalism. She worked at the Providence American Newspaper, Boston station WHDH-TV, and had her own campus radio program. She also began participating in pageants, representing Rhode Island in both the Miss Teen USA and Miss USA pageants. She moved to Los Angeles in 1997 and has since done many commercials for such companies as Sears, Pepsi, Denny's and Coor's Light. Claudia is now in training and plans to participate again in track and field events, probably the one-quarter mile and the 800 meters. She attributes her interest in sports to her father's influence: he was in the U.S. Air Force and posted in Brindisi, Italy, when he met Claudia's mother, an Italian native. [br]
