Bad Boys (1995 film), photo wallpapers (Megawallpapers): Bad Boys is a 1995 action comedy film, directed by Michael Bay and starring Will Smith and Martin Lawrence. The film also spawned a 2003 sequel, Bad Boys II. Detective Mike Lowrey (Will Smith) and Detective Marcus Burnett (Martin Lawrence) are police officers in the Miami police force, investigating the disappearance of millions of dollars of heroin from their secure vault. In the course of their investigation, they discover that one of the gang, Fouchet (Tchéky Karyo), absconded with some of the cocaine and was shot in the head. The only witness to the crime is Julie Mott (Tea Leoni), whom they have to protect while trying to catch the 'bad boys' (their singing of the song 'Bad Boys' re-inspired interest in it). [br]Miami narcotics detectives Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett become part of a high-tech task force assigned to stem the flood of designer ecstasy into Miami. They unwittingly uncover a deadly conspiracy involving a ruthless drug lord who is determined to expand his empire and take control of the city’s burgeoning narcotics trade, killing anyone who stands in his way. To make matters worse, Marcus’ beautiful sister Syd, an undercover DEA agent, gets caught in the crossfire, forcing our heroes to the edge of the law. The assignment takes on further complications when romantic sparks start to fly between Mike and Syd, driving her overly protective brother completely around the bend. With a total of almost $141 million in ticket sales worldwide, Bad Boys generated a huge profit for producer Jerry Bruckheimer and Columbia Pictures, and it also led to more big time movies for then-newcomers Will Smith, Martin Lawrence and director Michael Bay. Reviews from moviegoers were generally positive and many of them felt that the movie finally injected new interest and reinvigorated the buddy cop genre. Some fans of the movie even compared Bad Boys to Lethal Weapon in the sense that both films had two male leads who are at odds with each other while trying to solve cases together. Between the two, Bad Boys is viewed to be a faster movie than Lethal Weapon (which relied on intrigue and suspense). [br]Because of the popularities of Smith, Lawrence and Bay, Bad Boys continues to enjoy heavy playtime on cable television networks as well as continued presence in video stores worldwide. [br]
