Boeing 767 Aircraft - photo wallpapers; Megawallpapers.org : The Boeing 767 is a commercial passenger aircraft manufactured by Boeing's Commercial Airplane division. The Boeing 767, a widebody jet, was introduced at around the same time as the 757, [br]its narrowbody sister. The 767 has a seat-to-aisle ratio in economy [br]class of 3.5 seats per aisle, making for quicker food service and [br]quicker exit of the plane than many other jetliners, which typically [br]have between four and six seats per aisle in economy class. The flight [br]decks of the Boeing 757 and 767 are very similar and as a result - [br]after a short conversion course - pilots rated in the 757 are also [br]qualified to fly the 767 and vice versa. With the 707 aging, Boeing decided to offer a midsize plane to fit in between the 727/737/757 and the 747. [br]With the fuselage width of 15 ft 6 in, it cuts the difference between [br]the aircraft in half. It is offered in a twin aisle configuration of [br]2+3+2 in economy with the most common business configuration of 2+2+2. [br]It is possible in some charter configurations to squeeze an extra seat [br]for a 2+4+2 configuration, however the seats are very narrow and this [br]is not common. The 767 sold very well in the late 1980s and early 1990s, although [br]sales have slowed considerably in recent years. At the end of June [br]2006, the Boeing 767 has 969 orders placed and 940 of those had been [br]delivered. Current orders have production scheduled through 2007. There are three variants of the 767 and launched on three separate [br]occasions. The -200 variant was launched in 1978 with introduction into [br]service in 1981. The -300 was launched in 1983 and entered service in [br]1986. The last variant, the -400 was launched in 1998 and entered [br]service in 2000. Although there are a total of three variants, several [br]versions have been produced.
