Belinda Carlisle - biography; photo wallpapers: Belinda Carlisle (born August 17, 1958) (real name: Belinda Kurczesky) is the lead vocalist for the rock & roll band The Go-Gos. After [br]the initial breakup of The Go-Gos in 1984, Carlisle embarked upon a [br]solo career. Somewhat overweight during her stint with the Go-Go's, [br]fans were surprised to see a new svelte Carlisle gracing the cover of [br]her 1988 solo album Heaven on Earth. Later a music video for her hit [br]single Mad About You showed her new curves were not due to airbrush [br]work. In August 2001 Carlisle posed nude for the men's magazine [br]Playboy. The 42-year-old told ABC: "You don't have to be age 20 and [br]size zero to be sexually viable or viable as a woman." Some speculate [br]she may have done it to promote the newly reformed Go-Go's 2001 album [br]God Bless the Go-Go's. Currently the Go-Gos plan to continue playing and touring together.
