Side Travel - Turkish beach; photo wallpapers: Side meanig pomegrannit, began as a small Turkish village, which was almost one-kilometer long, four hundred meters wide, with fine sandy beaches either side and wonderful Hellenistic ruins. Legend has it that Mark Antony and Cleopatra chose Side as a spot for a romantic fling. However, the word has now sread and Side has became a bustling little holiday resort with many large all-inclusive hotels. Large portions of the ruins still reamin and the resort has still managed to retain its vharm and historic character. There are mnay shooping bargains to be picked up in Side from gold to silver. leather to Turkish delight and some of the best bargains can be found in the old village of Side. Unfortunately, in the evening time the local bus wont take you down into the center, it will however take you to the otogar (bus station). This is were the fun begins as you climb on board the little train that will take you down trough the ruins and into the main entrance off Side main street.
