Air Fiji - Aircraft; photo wallpapers: One of Fiji's first airlines, Air Fiji offers a number of flights to many destinations within the country. Operating since 1967 its services cover a large area, including many remote islands in the group. Air Fiji is an airline based in Suva, Fiji. It operates inter-island services to destinations within the Fijian Islands, with an average of 65 flights a day, and to regional destinations. Its main base is Nausori International Airport, Suva, with a hub at Nadi International Airport. The airline was established and started operations on 10 July 1967 as Air Pacific. On 29 March 1971 it was renamed Fiji Air and the present title was adopted in February 1995. It is owned by Aviation Investments (55%), government of Fiji (11%) and other shareholders (34%). It has 229 employees (at March 2007).
